The whale

Ian has been asking me to paint him a whale (it is part of his family crest). I have been putting it off since I am not much of a painter and have always just created something for myself as an expression of my feelings or as a way to relax.

Well the other day I needed to get out some frustration and sat down to paint. When I mixed the colors I came up with this blue that reminded me of the ocean and thus I decided it was time for the whale.

And here it is. My first painting that I did for someone else. It was really weird and I still feel very awkward about it. I am not a talented painter, but I created something that Ian wanted. It was a first step for me to create something not for myself. I hope you enjoy it also!
