These creatures are gross and disgusting and unfortunately I think they are going to become a more regular part of my life. I have made a few adjustments in my life lately, one being my new home. The thing is that there is not a fence I can just let Killian out into. So, we go out on the leash. Well, behind me are some woods, which require us to go in them (especially if I don't want to scoop poop). Well this morning I woke up and found a tick on me. My intial thought was disgust and then panic when I realized I had to do something about it.
Before I always had someone else to help me out (namely my parents or Scott) but needless to say I found myself with a tick sucking the blood out of my leg and no one to touch the bug to get him out. It was all up to me. I pulled and yanked and that little guy did not want to come out. I tried not to look but when i glanced down I realized that I had freed some of his legs and they were moving about--- the most digusting part. Well needless to say I finally pulled him out and disposed of him with a little drowning in the sink.
So the remainder of the day, I have felt this sense panic that something was crawling on me. I finally gave and realized that it was just my bug phobia. That was until I got home and realized that Killian too had a tick. And guess who was the only one there to take care of it.... ME!
