That's entertainment

Went to a terrific concert last night.... I was invited to go to the Roger Clyne concert and accepted (who would pass up a free concert). I didn't know much about him, well really I didn't know anything about him except he used to be the lead singer for The Refreshments (which means I knew one song he sang). A few weeks before I downloaded some songs so I would at least know a few of them.

Well let's say that my expectations were far surpassed. It was one of the best concerts I have been too. He is such a wonderful entertainer and there was such an awesome atmosphere. That one concert added someone to my favorite musicians list and needless to say I did download a lot more songs today.

First, anyone who loves to drink is on top of my list. Second, I loved the diversity of the crowd. Most of my concerts that I have been to have had fairly stereotypical attendees. There was everyone from 21 year old preps to 70 year old ladies who were grooving and shaking. There were the biker guys and the Colorado earthy girl. It was great too see how one person could bring so many people together to celebrate music. And of course the fact that his songs are wonderful and he is a wonderful entertainer doesn't hurt either!

I have decided that going to see him perform one of his bi-annual concerts in Mexico is something I am adding to my list of 43 things I want to do...let me know if you want to join me!!!

And a small side note-- I did drink a PBR and I liked it :)

P.S. I am glad that we made it and didn't have to drive around all night (haha!!)
