Mystery Music

So my wonderful student teacher decided that she wanted to make a cd of songs that reminded her of me. Her and I have had lots of long conversations about life and love, and she knows me pretty well, but I was amazed at the songs she selected. It was so wierd how they seemed to really speak to me. Most of them were songs that were not in reportoire, which of course makes it even better.

That cd made me grateful on so many levels.

• First, it was wonderful that someone would spend that effort and think enough about me to make a mix that really speaks to me.
• Second, I am so lucky to be surrounded by people who love, know, and accept me for who I am (even with my flaws).
• Third I am so grateful to have music in my life. There is nothing better than listening to someone else who knows exactly how you feel. It makes things seems okay because someone else knows how you feel. And I was able to be introduced to new music that can expand my horizons.
• Fourth, it makes me feel good about people. Thoughtfulness and goodness is still alive even though sometimes as you look at society it seems to be missing.
• Fifth, I have a wonderful job with wonderful people. Most people can't say that they love everyone they work with and i am so proud to be able to say that. I look forward to going to work and hanging out with my friends.
• Last, I am in a good place in my life. Life takes many different turns and many of them are not in your plan. But, I know that god has a plan for me and I am following it. Sometimes things are hard, but I know that I am so lucky to be where I am and be surround the people I have. Life is good!
